The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cloud‑based data platforms . This role focuses on building scalable data lake architectures, orchestrating complex data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and enabling advanced analytics for enterprise and public‑sector clients. The engineer will work across Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, and traditional BI/ETL tools to deliver secure, high‑performance data solutions.
This position is ideal for a highly skilled data engineer with deep experience in cloud migration, data warehousing, API‑based ingestion, and end‑to‑end analytics delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud data platforms, and ETL development.
- 4+ years of hands‑on Azure cloud experience.
- Strong expertise in:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- ADLS Gen2
- Databricks (PySpark, Python)
- Azure DevOps
- SQL Server, T‑SQL, Stored Procedures
- API‑based ingestion
- Snowflake (preferred)
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, PL/SQL, Hive, and Airflow.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, SCD Type‑2, and ELT/ETL frameworks.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
