Role Overview:
A DevOps Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enhance the development and deployment processes. This role involves working closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless automation, scalability, and reliability of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect & Implement DevOps Solutions: Design and build scalable, secure, and automated DevOps frameworks for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Automation & Configuration Management: Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for automated provisioning and configuration.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Monitoring & Logging: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001) in the DevOps lifecycle.
- Collaboration & Best Practices: Work with development, QA, and operations teams to foster DevOps culture and implement industry best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve system performance, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud computing, or system architecture roles.
- Cloud Platforms: Expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.
- Security & Compliance: Understanding of DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning, and policy enforcement.
- Monitoring & Logging: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
- Strong experience in microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
- Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
