Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Engineer to design, develop, and optimize embedded systems and firmware for various applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in embedded C/C++ programming, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance, reliable, and scalable embedded solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test firmware and embedded software for microcontrollers and embedded processors.
- Work with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or embedded Linux.
- Develop low-level drivers, BSPs (Board Support Packages), and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.).
- Optimize embedded software for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with circuit boards and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Work with wireless communication protocols like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and LoRaWAN.
- Perform debugging, testing, and validation using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations for embedded systems.
- Maintain and update firmware documentation and version control using Git.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices in embedded development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 – 8 years of experience in embedded system design and firmware development.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and experience with assembly language (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR, MSP430, etc.) and embedded processors.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
- Experience in debugging tools, JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Familiarity with hardware interfacing, sensor integration, and power management.
- Understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, CAN, USB, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or shell scripting for automation and testing.
- Knowledge of AI/ML in embedded systems or IoT frameworks.
- Experience with FPGA, DSP, or hardware accelerators.
- Understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) for automotive and industrial applications.
- Exposure to wireless communication (BLE, Zigbee, LoRa, NB-IoT, etc.).
